My Charger is one of the few remaining numbers matching fully documented 4spd R/T Chargers left. It was originally built for export and after finding its way back to the states, it has been a respected street/race car for the rest of its life. It has been through many different stages but has always retained its original 4spd and Dana rear. It now has a 526ci wedge in it that makes 658ft/lbs & 654HP on 91 octane. The original numbers matching engine is safe & sound under the bench. "If this car could talk ..." It has been through the paces and then some. From a daily driver with a solid cam & 4.56s to racing every Sunday at the local track to serious street racing from the late 70s to mid 80's to sitting in the garage for 15 years while being retored (again) and now being driven and "excerised" on a regular basis. The car is a comfotable, reliable 10 second driver. While mileage could be better (at 12mpg) the performance easily helps slip that fact from your mind. It turns the 315-60 BFG Drag Radials with ease from a roll. Once they hook though ... you can feel your face start to peel back. Its a rush to say the least. It currently has a pair of Quick Fuel 750s on it but there is a complete dominator flanged EFI set up on the bench that may find its way under the hood soon. But right now, you cant go anywhere without people stopping and pointing. The car has major eyes and gets ALL the attention almost anywhere it goes. I recently took it to a local show here in Maryland and entered it on the lawn just to get a good parking spot. With nothing more then a brief dusting off, I took home the first place trophy for its class. Its not a show car by any means. I drive it and drive it hard and often. People say "you should paint it orange" Funny thing is that it WAS orange before the TV show came out. LOL.
