History:
-Traded a 1985 Plymouth Duster and $150 for the T-Top Monte Carlo Coupe in high school 12 years ago. Reverse didnt work.
-Drove it in stock form until after beginning college. Bought all upgrades with discount working at a retail auto parts store (which lasted over the next 8 years), including the engine and many performance parts at half price (employee appreciation week 50% discount-no longer offered!). Everything was on a budget or discount.
-Now working for a High Performance Mail Order Company...again, buying parts on a budget/discount..
-Did nearly all the work myself(with the help of some friends on occasion) except for the body work and exhaust.
-I have done everything I could to keep my high school car (after hearing everyone else talk about how they wish they kept theirs) and am going to face my next challenge of getting married (on 07-07-07). My Fiance' is very understanding; the car will stay!
-Nearly every part or service was bought at a discount by working hard and through getting to know people and making friends...a nearly true budget car.
