'70 AMX 390 Go-Pack, BW T-10V close ratio, soon to be Viper T-56, Twin Grip (posi) 3:54, Moser 1-piece axles. Am.Racing TT2's 17X7 with 225/50 series front, 17X8 with 255/45 series back. Aerospace alum. Vacuum assisted vented 12" disc brakes around. Power assisted steering, original icecold blowing airco. Blueprinted engine build to Group 19 Stage 2 specifications, idles pretty choppy, but fairly streetable and sure is BIG fun to drive. The paint is Golden Lime Metallic with black C-stripe, repainted some 10 years ago by the former owner and that is also the original color she came with when new. I changed all lights to European specs ( had to for tech inspection ) 3rd stoplight, rear foglight, different headlamp units, but everything still looks stock.
The interior is all original, clean and everything functional, even the original AM radio. I had to clean up the seats and refill the seats and backs with new custom made foam.
She's my daily driver summer AND winter and never missed a beat during the past 5 years I have her and that is pretty impressive for a 37-year old car in our Belgian climate. I destroyed a clutch after only 2 weeks ownership, replaced it with Centerforce DF and never had a problem since.
Not much AMC's to be found in these regions, let alone an AMX, so most folks just don't have a clue what it is and I only got the thumbs up and jaws falling to the ground when people see/hear me coming down the street.
