I bought the car from a bank, I guess it was repossessed, it didn't have a motor or transmission in it & the dash was a mess. I had another wrecked car to get the dash pieces to fix it. Then I went looking for a motor & trans, I had my mind set on an LT1 & T56. I found one & went to work. Initially I put it in as stock, which was night & day difference from the 180hp 305 from the factory. But I wanted MORE. So again I went to work & one thing led to another. Cam is a Comp Cams 306 grind, with their beehive springs, 1.5 roller rockers & heavy duty push rods. Head have a mild porting job & are port matched to the intake. Head gaskets are from a iron head LT1, they are thinner & it bumps the compression up to 11.0:1. Exhaust is carried out through full length Hooker headers, 3" true duals with "X" pipe through Flowmaster mufflers. The rearend is a 3.42 ratio 8.5" posi from a Grand National, with 12" Vette disc brakes & tubular lower & adjustable upper control arms from BMR. Front brakes are 13" C5 rotors with the matching dual piston calipers mounted on 98-02 S10 Blazer knuckles with boxed factory lower A arms & adjustable uppers from Pole Position Racing. Wheels and tires are 245/45/17 BFG KDs on 17x8 Centerline Stars up front & 275/40/17 on 17x9.5 out back. Hopefully one day soon I will have it all back together so I can tear up the streets. It has a cowl hood on it now, but not painted, I am going to paint it solid maroon to match the front. The paint scheme was on this car when I got it, I didn't like it much when I got it, but the more I looked at it the more it grew on me.
