About my Falcon

1969 Falcon 4-door Station Wagon.  Manual steering, manual brakes (front disc), Shelby drop w/600# springs.

EDIT:  It's been a year and a half.  I missed my "back on the road" goal by nearly a year, but just did not have the free time that I had counted on.

The 425 stroker made a peak of 557hp on the dyno, along with 545 torque.  With that and a transmission that is shifting several hundred rpm too late, it ran some 7.5' at a bit over 93mph in the 1/8.

Swapped carbs (dyno data suggested the carb was too small), and in indentical weather the 1/8 times dropped into the 9.4's and mph went to almost 95 - carb was too small!

Car is now weighed, and is heavier than I had hoped.  Race weight was 3,730#.

We took it  on it's longest cruise last night, a bit over 150 mies.  We met up with Stephen Kim for a photo shoot, so hopefully this will be in an issue in the near future!
