I bought the car as a rolling chassis from a collector who owned it. But the car was torn down over 15 years ago to become a project for his wife who divorced a year or so later. So the car became a parts car for his other cars. I saw it on a trip to his storage garage and it was covered in dust and I was shocked at the low mileage. He said he was going to have someone part it out and junk it. So I made a deal and purchased the car. Since it was a parts car nothing they took out was done well. I had a shop that specializes in mustang fix the damaged fender and install a fiberglass hood. About 80% of the car is ebay and swap meet parts. The shortblock came from a drag racer, the trickflow heads came from a road racer, the explorer GT40 intake was a salvage yard, the jba headers and Mac x-pipe from wanted ads, the Dynaflow ultra flow dumps from ebay, the flo-fit seats from ebay, the Maximum Motorsports torque-arm was from a ford swap meet, and the BBS RK 18" wheels from ebay. The car is probably closer to a road race specs then street, but its future is open track days.

No stereo couldn't hear it anyways, door panel looked so good naked, that I made a custom panel for lock and window switches.
Took 3 years to do the car and total expense was about $15,000, which is really about $10,000 out of pocket. My daily driver got rearended and the settlement paid for the supercharger and extras. If I minus all the stuff I took off the car and sold it would be even less. I built the car in my 2 car garage and with some help from friends on wiring. Only thing I farmed out was the bodywork and the tuning. I can say that this car was built not using one credit card.
