This is actually Ken Blakes' car. He was my best friend. He passed away and I have been taking care of it since. He was a great auto machinist and it has the last big blk he built in it. The 440 has 12 to 1 comp, a .622 lift 286 dur. cam, aluminum heads, milidon geardrive, 950 proform all tied to a slick shift 4spd and a narrowed 4.56 Dana 60. It is an original 426-4spd car and the purist just hate it (to bad). It has mini tubs that fit 31x16.50 mickey's with a three link system. It also has bolt in sub frame connectors, a bolt in roll bar (not really legal for those 10sec blasts), but I can remove it to put the rear seat in for the kids. With 3 1/2" exhaust and flowmasters it does get attention. I can't really afford to race it, so I drive it and just cruise around dispite the compression and cam and the race gas requirements. It runs hard, but does have nitrous if it's not hard enough. All I have to say is "If I can do it , you can do it" I'm not rich and work out of a one car garage. It's taken me 10 years to get it back on the street since his passing, but i'm hear now. Sure the bodies not perfect (it has war wounds), and sure the interior's not finished, but it drives and that's what it's about, right!
