I'm a HUGE Ford man thanks to my father. Saw this car at an empty lot when I was in HS. It was a one owner car that had belonged to an elderly lady who passed away and her son was selling it. I obviously couldn't afford it at the time, even with the low price tag, and always regretted letting such a nice original car go. Fast forward 6 years, I've since graduated college and found my first teaching job, and I'm driving home from work and see thee exact same Galaxie at a poor mans car lot. I couldn't believe it. I had to pay just a little more than the price I saw in HS but it had since been repainted a beautiful pearl white, which was a plus. It needed a ton of detailing and replacing of gaskets and hoses but nothing major. Obviously I had to swap out the hubcaps for some 18" Boss rims but everything else remains mostly stock looking. I of course would enjoy a bigger motor and manual transmission someday but at the moment I'm saving for an exhaust and front end parts. This giant muscle car is definitely something that I'll be passing down to my 1 year old son someday.
